Hot Girl Summer, here we come 😎

It can be argued that warmer weather makes it easier to get dressed. No more fussing with jackets and bulky layers because oftentimes, the perfect summer outfit consists of a skirt and a cute tank top. However, if the goal is to take this year’s outfits up a notch, feel free to add any of the following trends to your summer closet.

Of course, for summer clothing, matching necklaces are essential. I think custom pendants are a great way to accessorize any outfit. Customizable pendants are a unique way to express your creativity and personality, and also the best way to complete your cute summer outfits!

1. Second-Skin Maxi-Ribbed Dress

1. Second-Skin Maxi-Ribbed Dress

I can’t help but double-tap and obsess over bodycon maxi dresses for this summer 2024 season. These dresses are not only vacation-ready but also a wonderful option for special occasions. Not to mention a skin-tight ribbed dress is the perfect outfit choice to show off your body while on a cute summer date with your crush 😻

2. Cargo Pants & Utility Pockets

Cargo Pants & Utility Pockets

Ummmm pants? In summer? Yes, babe. The cargo pocket has been a star trend for a few seasons now, and it’s truly hard to miss with a pair of cargo pants.

Yep, cargo pants are back in style, and these picks give off an effortless, cool-girl vibe.

3. Classic white tank + blue jean combo

Classic white tank + blue jean combo

If the white tank top were a person, their back would hurt from absolutely carrying summer fashion. If in doubt, you can’t go wrong with a white blouse and blue jeans outfit. Dress up the look by stacking gold jewelry and a designer bag.

I recommend splurging on a pair of high-quality jeans that will maintain form (won’t stretch out) for years. I bought a pair of jeans from Citizens of Humanity (my favorites are in the shop in the look widget below) and have worn them 2-3 times a week FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS and they look just as good as the day I bought them. 7forallmankind also has high-qual  12+ Cute & Trendy Summer 2024 Outfit Ideas You’ll Fall in Love With these jeans that will last FOREVER

4. St Tropez Blue Stripes

St Tropez Blue Stripes

I’m seeing signs that a new wave of preppy fashion is making yet another comeback with the influx of pieces like crisp button-down shirts, Loro Piana loafers, & linen blazers. What feels fresh about a striped shirt for summer is the way I see them styled—tucked into shorts or pants with a belt, then unbuttoned nearly to the waist.

5. Mesh & Tube tops

Mesh & Tube tops

We have all seen ’90s minimalism on the runways for several seasons, and this trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Recreate the 90s look with pieces such as mesh button-up shirts and tube tops. What better way to avoid pit stains than getting rid of your sleeves entirely?!

Tube tops are perfect for those extra-hot summer days. Style with cargo pants to knock out two trends in one outfit.

For a full midriff-baring look, add this nineties’ favorite – low-slung waists. Everything from jeans to suits, shorts to evening skirts has been given the low-rise treatment lately.

6. Crochet

Crochet

Crochet dresses and tops aren’t just one of the biggest dress and fashion trends for Summer 2024 but also one of the easiest cute summer outfits you can wear after summer.  I have seen the loosely woven style all over stores, on runways, and on the streets. Big-name labels such as The Row, Max Mara, Gabriela Hearst, Ulla Johnson, and Proenza Schouler have all featured the trend for their spring/summer 2024 runway but for those of us who can’t afford to throw a bag on this outfit- make sure to shop the following looks. recreate the look for cheap.

7. Quiet Luxury

Quiet Luxury

The internet has been buzzing about Sofia Richie’s recent wedding, and her spin on quiet luxury – a trend that focuses on high-quality clothing without the logo. This season marked the reinstatement of simplicity into our everyday wardrobes. The Row, Bottega Veneta, and Savette are leading the plain luxury trend and searches for this are

8. Floral

Floral

I won’t waste your time by quoting perhaps the most famous line in fashion-themed cinematic history, but let’s just say florals are hardly revolutionary when it comes to the warmer months.

9. Remixed Boho

Remixed Boho

Depending on whom you ask, boho style never really went away—so it’s nice to have tie-dye colors in the spotlight again for the season. Thanks to Daisy Jones & The Six, we’ve all been influenced to bring back the late 1970s fashion. You’ll be seeing flare jeans, clogs, fringe, crochet tops, and breezy bell sleeves throughout the summer. So dust off those Birkenstocks and prepare for a summer of loose, multi-colored fabric & psychedelic prints.

10. Blue Jean Baby

Blue Jean Baby

Collectively, I don’t think any of us got over the matching blue jean outfit worn by Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Matching blue jean tops with bottoms is the quintessential outfit of the 90s and I’m glad to see them come back in style.

12. Loose Linen Layers

Loose Linen Layers

Nothing says summer like linen, and whether you’re embarking on a coastal vacation or preparing for impending heatwaves, it’s a fabric that is sure to keep you cool. Linen is perfect for when it’s sweltering and sticky outside, & you don’t want to toss anything on but something that (1) feels like a second skin and (2) is flowy to the max.

12 Maxi Jean Skirt

Maxi Jean Skirt

Do you hear that? Ah yes, the sound of 90s kids rejoicing because — drumroll please 🥁 — denim skirts are making a comeback. First introduced in the ‘70s as an alternative to jeans, the denim skirt has been an on-off staple ever since. Most recently, more polished styles in longer lengths with front slit details are the look du jour.
